Happy First Birthday!

I've made this card today for my cousin's little boy who will be 1 in a couple of weeks - I've used a digi-stamp called 'Louie and Present' from DigiStamp Boutique.

The sentiment is part of the 'Save the Date' set from Little Claire - you get the circle and the numbers separately so you can personalise the greeting.  The buttons are also from Little Claire - from 'Georgina's Buttons and Stitching Set' - much flatter than using real buttons and great for cards going through the post!  The paper is from Craft Creations.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog - 'animal crackers'
Party Time Tuesdays - 'anything goes'
Hooked on Craft - 'let's celebrate'
Simon Says Stamp - 'anything goes'
The Stampman Challenge - 'anything goes/celebrations'
Crafts 4 Eternity - 'brilliant birthdays'
Divas by Design - 'happy birthday'

Something Old, Something New .....

When I spotted the latest challenge on the Forever Friends blog, I just knew that I had to have a go!  The challenge is called 'Are You Brave Enough?' and they want to see a card from your early card making days plus a card from now!

So first of all, here's my current day card (above) made with a Wild Rose Studio stamp ("Girl with Dog") and papers from Paper Mania layered with kraft.  I've also added a paper flower and a sentiment from Craftwork Cards.

And now (are you sitting down?!) a card from November 2006 made with a Visible Image stamp:

This was made in my 'pre-Promarker' days when I struggled to colour in stamped images (badly!) with watercolour pencils.  I still do a lot of clean and simple cards but I like to think my colouring has improved during the last six years!!

I'd like to enter my first card in the following challenges:

Create & Craft 4 Day Deal - Fairyland, Part 2

Today I'm sharing some more of the sample cards I've made for the new 'Fairyland' CD rom which is the current Four Day Deal on Create and Craft.

The images on there are beautiful and there's so much detail in them - you see something new every time you look at them.

My first card (above) is another pyramage card but this made in to an easel card.  I've used the matching backing paper plus some sparkly paper round the main image.

Next an invertage card using this super cute image of the mouse and the hedgehog - aren't they sweet?  I used some red holographic paper round the main image and some of the backing paper which matches the image.

I then used the little mouse on his own to create my own pyramage card - the backing paper was generated with the design and I've added green holographic card plus some of the chain link peel offs which also feature in the show.

Finally, for this card I made a 'window' using one of the graphics in the image generator part f the CD rom and then cut out the inside of the window and added acetate.  I left the shutters so that they can be folded away from the card as if they're opening.  Once again I used some silver paper and some of the chain link border peel offs.

I'd like to enter my cards in the following challenges:

Crafty Blogger's Network - 'anything goes'
ATCs and Cards With Attitude - 'anything goes'
That Craft Place Blog Challenge - 'anything goes'

Create & Craft 4 Day Deal - Fairyland, Part 1

A brand new Four Day Deal has just been launched today on Create and Craft - the beautiful 'Fairylands' CD rom from The Card Hut designed by Linda Ravenscroft.  I was part of the Design Team who made the sample cards for the show and I'm sharing my cards today and tomorrow.

The CD rom includes a selection of 'ready made' designs which can be printed as decoupage, toppers, pyramage and invertage plus backing papers, inserts and envelopes.  There's also a great bit of software which lets you create your own 'scene' using lots of different elements and images.

My first card (above) is one of the ready made pyramage designs - I just used some sparkly paper and some plain card plus some chain link peel offs which are also in the show.

Next, a design I created - it generates both the main topper plus the backing paper.  I added my own sentiment to the topper.

This is another pyrgamage card, this time with the backing paper that matches the main picture.  I used some more of the chain link peel offs, some nail head gems and some green holographic card.

Finally, another ready made topper but this time with my own sentiment.  I've used some gold holographic card and more of the chain link peel offs.

I'll be back tomorrow with another four cards!

I'd like to enter these cards in the following challenges:
